About JPG to PNG Converter
Converting a JPG to PNG won't recover detail the JPG already discarded — that information is gone for good — but it does stop any further loss. Every time you save a JPG again, it re-compresses and degrades a little more; PNG is lossless, so once you convert, repeated saves and edits won't add new artifacts. This makes JPG-to-PNG useful as an intermediate step: you're about to crop, retouch, or layer an image many times and want a stable, lossless working copy. It's also handy when a tool, printer, or platform specifically requires PNG input.
Keep expectations realistic
A PNG made from a JPG will usually be larger than the original — often much larger — because PNG stores every pixel without lossy compression, including the JPG's own artifacts. So convert to PNG for editing stability or format requirements, not to "improve quality." If your real goal is a smaller file, stay with JPG or try WebP.
